Make new friends at Conversation Exchange: learn the basics of Italian, practise your conversation skills, learn more about the culture, and pick up tips to pass as a local! Prato locals come to our campus to get to know Monash students and to try out their English.
Participating is easy but places are limited. Conversations take place once a month in an informal setting at our campus.

Did you know that you can spice up your culinary skills at a cooking class in Prato? You'll learn alongside a local Italian chef, preparing
tasty dishes such as fresh pasta or pizza. So put on your apron, grab your utensils, and get ready to expand your gastronomic repertoire!
The cooking class is offered in most programs where timetabling allows.

Our homestay program provides you with not only accommodation and food but also an authentic intercultural experience. You'll experience family life in Italy and you'll also have the opportunity to develop your Italian language and communication skills.

Discover the art of craftsmanship through our hands-on workshops, offered in collaboration with local artisans. Explore activities such as jewelry making, baking, pastry workshops and more.
Workshops run based on student interest and require a minimum number of participants. Before arriving in Prato, you will receive a Pre-Arrival Email with a link to book your spot. Once confirmed, the workshop will take place on a weekday.
