For students

On arrival at our centre you’ll discover that this is not your everyday campus setting. Eighteenth century Palazzo Vaj, with its own fascinating history, is a truly unique place to study in the heart of the city of Prato.

We encourage you to make use of the centre's study and recreational areas during our opening hours from 8.30am to 8.30pm, Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays, from 9am to 1pm (check which holidays we're closed on our opening hours page).

Library and Reading RoomReading Room

The Reading Room is located on the ground floor and has a small library with a collection of textbooks and reference books for coursework, as well as fiction, tour guides and some original language literature. Books may be consulted on site or borrowed after completing a loan form. Please contact Student Services for more information.

Student Lounge

Relax, read or study in our Student Lounge located on the first floor opposite the terrace. The Student Lounge provides a space forStudent Lounge individual and group study and is equipped with computers, a colour laser printer, a large display screen with Satellite and Apple TV, a microwave and a kettle.

Computers, printers and Internet

You are welcome to use the desktop computers, networked printers, and photocopiers at our centre. You will be given instructions on how to access these facilities at the orientation session at the beginning of your study program. Our on-site IT Services will be happy to help if you have any difficulties.

Wireless Internet is available throughout the building. You will find instructions on how to access our network displayed in the computer labs and recreational areas. Visit our IT and Audio Visual Services page for more information.

Biblioteca Lazzerini

Outside of the centre's opening hours, we encourage you to use the facilities of the Biblioteca Lazzerini, the public library in Prato. Located in a former textile factory, the library is a five-minute walk from our centre. With quiet spaces for study and free Internet, check out their selection of English-language books, online newspapers, DVDs and CDs - all available for loan.
