Apartments

We have six serviced apartments within Palazzo Vaj, where our campus is located. Our apartments are available for use by Monash staff who are spending an extended period in Prato or accompanying a group of students.

With views of the historical campus and located close to cafés, restaurants, boutiques, bakeries and greengrocers, each apartment can accommodate up to three people and is furnished with a fully-equipped kitchen, washing machine, air-conditioning, heating and wi-fi.

Important Compliance Information

  • Business Use Only: these apartments are strictly for Monash staff on official business travel. Recreational use or holiday extensions are not permitted.
  • Accompanying Guests: Use by partners or family must be authorised by your Faculty/Department.
  • Cost Recovery: Accommodation for accompanying guests who are non-staff members constitutes a private benefit. Any such private costs must be repaid to Monash University as per the repayment procedures attached to the Prato Accommodation Declaration
  • Requirements: Guests must provide a valid NuTrip ID and sign a formal declaration of business purpose upon booking.
  • Payment Methods: Please note that the apartments cannot be charged or invoiced personally. The cost for their use can only be internally charged to the relevant faculty, and use of the apartments is subject to FBT regulations
